Recruit Much?: Know Your Downline

Have you ever joined a program and after you have invested your money and your sponsor receives the payment you never hear anything back? Ugh! I hate that too. Your downline is super duper important, especially if you are selling an internet service or e-book.

A downline "refers to the members you have recruited or who have joined the program after you did and whose sales or referrals also generate income for you" and is used generally in internet marketing and multi-level marketing (MLM). Not only is the quality of the product or service that you are selling important -- the quality of the human talent that is helping you sell the product is important as well.

When you post your ads on those social networks, often you see people using the words "highly-motivated", "self-motivated", "success-driven", etc. These words are not used just because they make us look like we are working hard. These are the actual factors that people must have to be successful in the online marketing world. There are many people that think that they possess these qualities, but when put to the test they may fail in some areas. That is okay, though! Not everyone is born with a natural talent for this industry. This is why it is important to train, support, and cultivate this human talent to grow your downline network and help them to achieve their financial and life goals.

To help your downline achieve their goals, there are some things that you need to consider about yourself in terms of your leadership.

Are you willing to listen to the needs, ambitions, and goals of the people in your downline? Are you dedicating enough individual attention to assist them with individual scenarios? Are you actively involved in developing your downline and giving unique and honest opinions?

If you answered no to any of these questions, then your downline may be struggling in their development. Honesty is one of the most important things that you will ever be able to give a person that is trying to make it in this industry. Those that are making six-figures are not doing so because someone lied to them about how awesome they were doing and not giving them suggestions and advice along the way.

Trial and error is a very good strategy to teach your downline because in the end you do not want to be a babysitter. You want each and every person in your downline to grow and develop into a leader this way that they can also be successful. Different personality types excel in different modes of advertising, marketing, and sales so allow and individual to discover this on their own. Just make sure that the tools are available to them to help them do the digging.

That is all I have for you guys today! Thanks so much for reading and stop by to see us again!
